Here's a list of the highlights from the Virtuoso Studio IC23.1 release:
Use the new and upgraded Quantus output format, the Cadence Quantus DSPF Interactive Output for Virtuoso Studio, also known as the Interactive DSPF (I-DSPF) view, for parasitic extraction and simulation. Quantus creates the Interactive DSPF view and its corresponding DSPF file at the same time. The key benefit of using this view is that it extends the visualization and interactive capabilities integrated with Virtuoso Studio without the need for any additional setup.
Use the new Analog Library symbol, diffsprobe, or the differential sprobe for measuring differential impedance using sprobe devices in the S-Parameter (sp) and Periodic S-Parameter (psp) analyses.
Use the Create Design Intent form to create a new maximum resistance design intent. This design intent type helps layout designers who use EAD to check max resistance between a point-to-point connection.
Use layout pins and their access direction for port generation in blackboxed cells.
The cutoff port generation is now via-based, which uses the topmost layer as the cutoff layer to avoid losing any nets and helps save physical metal.
